French Toast 1On Sunday, March 17, the Knights of Columbus will prepare a Parish Breakfast and invite all to attend.  This breakfast is being underwritten by Chuck and Norma Schumacher.  The menu will include French Toast, Link Sausage, Hash Browns, and juice, coffee or milk.  This delicious serving is still only $6.00 a plate; and, as always, children under 12 years of age eat at no cost.

All breakfast proceeds are used to help fund Knights of Columbus charitable activities throughout the year.  Your support is greatly appreciated.  See you there!
Auction ItemsBarb Potter, chair for our Card Party Silent Auction, is asking for new or gently-used items for the Card Party.  Things that sell the best are home decor, unique serving dishes, art, hand-crafted items and jewelry.  We could also use empty jewery boxes.  Please call Barb at 226-3256 ot 501-762-3103 to make arrangements for delivery.  All proceeds from this event will be distributed to local charities in May, along with other monies collected.

Mass on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. starting March 13, followed by meal (monetary donations accepted) and sections of video, "The Mass" by Father Robert Barron.  No 9:00 a.m. Mass on those Lenten Wednesdays.

Rosary2The Lenten Rosaries are now available in the narthex, provided at no charge by the Rosary Makers.  Please take one and pray it each day of Lent for someone special or someone needing prayers in his or her life.  Give the gift of prayer.
Fit n BalancedFollowed by Fit 'n Fabulous.

Due to the overwhelming attendance at our first "Fit 'n Balanced" excercise class at 3:30 p.m. last week, an additional exercise class, "Fit 'n Fabulous" will follow on Mondays at 4:00 p.m. - except this week when both sessions will happen on Monday, April 22, at the times noted.  This new, hour-long class will focus on higher energy exercises to groove and pump our mind, body and spirit.  Linda Broome, certified fitness instructor, will continue to lead "Fit 'n Balanced" participants at 3:30 p.m. in core strengthening, balancing, toning and coordination exercises.  A chair is available to assist all levels of participants.  This is a 30-minute class to begin promptly at 3:30 p.m.  Please bring lighter-pound hand weights, if available.  Please call Cathy SIlk at 501-922-2062, extension 17 or Linda Broome at 870-995-2797 for more information.  See you Monday, April 22!
Fish fry 1The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, March 29, in the Lower Hall beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets will be on sale before and after Masses March 16/17 and March 23/24.  This is some of the best catfish you can find anywhere for only $10.00 - served with a baked potato and cole slaw.  Proceeds will benefit the various charities the Knights of Columbus chooses during our fraternal year.  Only 240 tickiets will be sold; so, be sure to get yours early!
Spaghetti DinnerA Spaghetti Dinner will be held in the Lower Hall on Saturday, April 13, after the 5:00 p.m. Mass.  Come and enjoy a delicious dinner served family stype - only $9.00.  Tickets will be on sale March 30/31 and April 6/7.
Fit n BalancedAnnouncing an exciting addition to our already existing M-W-F (8am) exercise class.

Linda Broome, a fellow parishioner, will be leading registered participants on Monday, April 1st (Lower Hall) in a strengthing and conditioning class called, "Fit n' Balanced."  Much of Linda's instruction will be focused on balance, eye/hand coordination, strengthening and toning.  Linda's positive spirit and enthusiasm is pronounced by the classical upbeat music she plays. 

Linda has been leading fitness classes for over 25 years; a true servant of God seeking balance of Mind, Body and Spirit.  Although Linda is Silver Sneakers certified, this is not a Silver Sneakers class.  There is no fee for this class; however, it will be necessary to sign a waiver on the first day.  If there is a positive turn out of fitness enthusiasts, the class will be offered every Monday at 3:30 p.m. and may even extend beyond the initial 30 minutes of scheduled time.  This class is appropriate for ALL fitness levels.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.  Equipment available for use; chair, resistance ball and low lb. dumbbell weights.  *Weights are in low supply - please bring your own, if available, for personal use.*

Bishop Robert BarronThe final Wednesday evening Lenten Mass series will be this Wednesday, April 10.  The soup/sandwich menu includes Hamburger Vegetable Soup and Chicken Salad Sandwich.  This deliciously light meal will be crafted by Ken Silvers.  The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. for Mass and will conclude in the Lower Hall with soup/sandwich and the fifth and final section of Bishop Barron's video, "The Mass."  No need to sign-up as we will approximate relative to previous number of attendees.  Monetary donations accepted.  Contact Cathy Silk at 501-922-2062, extension 17, for comments or questions.
Rice BowlJoin our faith community-and more than 14,000 Catholic communities across the United States in a life-changing Lenten journey of encounter with CRS (Catholic Relief Service) Rice Bowl from the narthex on Ash Wednesday.  During the 40 days of Lent, we will encounter the needs of the world.  And don't forget to download the CRS Rice Bowl app!
RosaryThe movie "Power in My Hands" has been rescheduled to this Sunday, April 7, at 2:00 p.m.  It is a recently-released film that uncovers the beauty, timelessness and power of the rosary through stories of prominent and ordinary families who give witness to the "power in their hands" - that is, the praying of the rosary.  Come hear of the miracles and blessings that have been experienced because of praying of the rosary.  Popcorn and drinks will be served.
LOSHMembers will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, April 8, in the Lower Hall after daily Mass.  Our featured speaker will be fellow-parishioner Tammi Trompeter.  She will speak on "Balance and Keeping Your Mind Young."  All women are invited to attend.  Our "something extra" will be "Undie Monday" for the Jackson House.  Adult sizes are most in need.
Chicos LogoAs part of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Exemplification for Assembly 2316 on April 6, a "Women's Event" will also be sponsored.  The event will be conducted while the men are being exemplified.  As chair for the event, Ruth Wolfer will be co-ordinating a Fashion Show, and ths fashion expo will feature fashions by Chico's.

The Coronado Center, room 5, will host the show (free-of-charge) from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m.  In addition to the candidate wives and the wives of Sir Knights Assembly 2316 are included.  That said, the number of seats available is limited.  If you are a spouse of a Sir Knight and wold like to attend, please notify Ruth Wolfer by transmitting an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. Mens Club LogoThe next meeting date for the Sacred Heart Men's Club has been changed from April 9 to April 8, 2019.

We will gather in the Upper Hall at 5:00 p.m. to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet. A social gathering will follow in the Lower Hall from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m., and dinner will be served before 6:00 p.m. After dinner, Jim Arnold, a member of the Men's Club and a USGA Rules Official, will review the revisions to the rules of golf that took effect this year. After dinner, we will have a short business meeting.

The Men's Club needs for some members to step forward to serve as officers for the coming year. Several positions will be vacated after the May meeting, and we need your cooperation to continue our efforts to pursue our goals of fellowship and charitable donations.
