This year's collection more than doubled the collection of 2017! Because of the generosity of the parishioners of Sacred Heart, the Food Basket program will be able to provide more food to more families in the Fountain Lake, Jessieville, and Mountain Pine school districts. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the committee will need additional volunteers to take care of the shopping and delivery of the additional food baskets. If you are willing to help with this part of the program, please call Ed Keearns, 922-3832. Thanksgiving food baskets will be delivered between November 8 and November 21.
Ladies of the Sacred Heart General Meeting will be held in the Lower Hall following Mass on Monday, January 14. Our speaker will be Hot Springs Village resident Colleen Angel. Our "baby shower" is also ongoing, so please bring baby items to the meeting, to be donated to three worthy charities. All women of the parish are welcome to attend.

We are beginning the third week of Advent. Have you found your schedule so busy that your intentions to make 2018 your best Advent yet, have fallen by the wayside? One way to help ensure you are remembering to make Advent meaningful is to sign up with formed.org for daily reflections. They can be sent to your inbox. Look for ADVENTREFLECTIONS on the site. Families will also want to check-out Brother Francis Presents the Days of Advent. Grandparents who share this site with their grandchildren will find it child-friendly. Try it with family. Perhaps you can help put the focus on Christ this Christmas.
