Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church
Hot Springs Village, Arkansas
Heavenly Father, increase our faith in the Real Presence of your Son, Jesus Christ, in the Holy Eucharist. We are obliged to adore Him and to give Him thanks. You can contact Mike Ritch 832 231-7469 or mike74_ritch@yahoo.com regarding PEA participation.

"Bread of Life" is an exciting five-part series on Formed about Jesus' teaching about the Eucharist. This week, join Dr. Tim Gray for the first of the series "Bread of Life: The Eucharist in Galilee". Jesus's teaching about the Eucharist was not solely reserved for the Last Supper. His work in Galilee prepared for and pointed to the Eucharist. Join Dr. Gray on the shores of Galilee as he quotes from Bible passages that reveal Jesus laying the foundation of gifting us the Eucharist. Go to FORMED.org to register for our free parish subscription and enjoy the first of this series.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Balboa Baptist Church, Barcelona Road Baptist Church, Faith Lutheran Church and Village Bible Faith Lutheran Church and Village Bible Church will all be participating in the Crosses for Life Memorial in the Village this year during the month of September. The displays at each of the churches
are to memorialize those children who were aborted and increase public awareness of the devastating effects of abortion. As you drive by the churches and see the crosses, please say a prayer for the end of
abortion in all states in our country. "St. Faustina, to whom the Chaplet of Mercy was revealed, was told
while we are to ask God's mercy for all the sins of the world, that it was the sin of abortion in particular
that God was imploring people to pray about. St. Faustina, as her Diary relates, "was also allowed to
feel the pains of women having abortions, as a reminder of how much this grieves the heart of God".
Crosses will be erected at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Saturday, August 31, beginning
at 8:00 am. Please contact Bob Bowman at robowman1@gmail.com or 501 226-0209 to volunteer to help put up our crosses. The crosses will be on display for the entire month of September.

The Catholic Home Missions Appeal strengthens the Catholic Church in the United States and its territories where resources are thin and priests are few. The funds collected help these Catholic communities survive and thrive by underwriting evangelization, religious educa-tion, education for future priests training for lay ministers and poor parishes that may have to close without outside funding. The Diocese of Little Rock has benefitted from this special support. For more information call 501 664-0340.
