Ever wish you could just talk with someone about your loss? Or that there was a safe place to be with others who had suffered the loss of a loved one? Feel like you are learning to adjust? Good. But you might help others by sharing what worked for you and what you still struggle with. And they might be able to help you. There is a place just for that! We will begin a Grief Support Group here at Sacred Heart. The session will be held on Tuesday mornings, 10:00 a.m. beginning on February 11. THe group will meet for 6 weeks in the Library and the sessions will last one and a half hours. If you know someone that has suffered a loss and could use support, anyone, they do not have to be a parishioner, invite them to attend. The size of the group is limited so if you wish to attend, please make a reservation by calling the Parish Office at 501-922-2062, ext. 10.

The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, Febrary 28, in the Lower Hall beginning at 5:00 p.m. Kitchen will close at 6:30 p.m. Sign-up sheets will be available in the narthex before and after Masses this weekend, February 22/23. This is some of the Best Catfish you can find anywhere for only $10.00 This meal also includes a Baked Potato, Cole Slaw and a Roll. Newly elected members will serve on the Parish Pastoral Council (PC) for a two year term representing the various commissions within the parish. Each elected member will serve in conjunction with another elected member of that same commission in which that member has already completed the first of their two year term. Father BIll and I, Rosemary Monarque-Librarian, invite all parishioners, especially our youth, to come and browse through all of the acquired and donated materials. One will find books on topics such as Apologetics, Church History, Grieving and Healing, Saints, and Popes, to name a few. We even have a Youth section. I will, in the near future, invite the youth of our parish to come and check out a special section which has been created especially for them. Those who are celebrating, or have recently celebrated, a 25th or 50th (or more) wedding anniversary, are encouraged to mark your calendars for a special Mass at which time you will renew your wedding vows and receive a blessing on Friday, February 14, 4:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Mass will be followed by a reception with food and drink in the Lower Hall. Sign ups are in the Narthex until Monday, February 10. Breakfast is only $6.00 a plate and as always children 12 and under are free. All breakfast proceeds are used to help fund Knight's charitable activities throughout the year. Cathy Spell, certified Pilates Instructor, will be instructing a Pilates Strength class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 - 1 p.m., Upper Hall, starting February 11, 2020. The class will focus on core strength, balance and coordination. This class is designed for participants comfortable getting up and down from the floor. Please bring your own fitness mat and be ready to have a great class.
