As we prepare for the Triduum and the celebration of Easter, we can use the resources of FORMED.org to deepen our understanding of the paschal mystery. One of the video programs in "Symbolon," the series introduced at our parish Lenten suppers, invites us to explore the meaning of the paschal mystery "in the greater story of Salvation, from the Passover in Egypt to the Last Supper and Crucifixion of Jesus." Another resource, "Three Days That Changed the World," an audio program, is focused on the final days of Christ's public ministry and His Passion that brought to fulfillment "the very purpose of His Incarnation, the salvation of all mankind."
If you have registered as a FORMED user, you can access the video by entering "Symbolon" in the search bar on the homepage and then choosing Session 6, "The Paschal Mystery." The audio program can be found by searching for "Three Days That Changed the World" under the "Listen" resources of FORMED. If you haven't registered yet, just type FORMED.org into your browser, enter the parish's code - CNT7WK - on the FORMED homepage, and create a password for your continued use of the website, allowing you unlimited access to its library of materials.

Dear Richard,
For 45 years, a few unelected men and women on the Supreme Court have played God with innocent human life.
They have invented laws that condemned to painful deaths without trial more than 61 million babies for the crime of being "inconvenient."
In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade ruling forced abortion-on-demand down our nation's throat.
Dear Brother Knight,
Your immediate action is necessary to protect medical professionals and all people of faith from being forced to participate in or pay for abortions.
Congress is currently considering legislation to fund the government, and it is critical that a provision called the Conscience Protection Act be included in this legislation.
The Conscience Protection Act would strengthen federal law to ensure that doctors and nurses are not forced to perform abortions. This critical legislation would also ensure that our churches and other religious organizations do not need to cover abortion in their insurance plans.

Have you said to yourself, or others, "I'm doing pretty well, I think. Learning how to adjust." That's good, but you might help others who have suffered the loss of a loved one by sharing what worked for you and what you still struggle with. And, others can help you by sharing their experiences. There is a safe place for just that! We will begin another Grief Support Group here at Sacred Heart. The group will meet in the library on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 beginning March 6. There will be six weekly sessions facilitated by Deacon John. Each session will last one and a half hours. If you know of people who could benefit from these sessions, invite them to attend as they don't need to be a parishioner to sign-up. The size of the group is limited, so if you wish to attend, please make a reservation by calling Deacon John at 226-9035 or transmit an e-mail message to him at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Sacred Heart Lenten Reconciliation Service will take place on Tuesday, March 20, at 6:00 p.m. followed by opportunity for individual Confessions to one of, hopefully, eight priests who have said they will be here, including Father Nelson. The other services in the area are: Our Lady of Fatima, Benton, at 6:30 p.m. on March 8 and St. John's in Hot Springs on March 15 at 6:30 p.m.
Parish Life will be sponsoring one more Soup and Sandwich dinner during Lent. The next dinner will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at 6:15 p.m. in the Lower Hall after the 5:30 Mass. Menu includes ham and bean soup along with turkey/cheese and roast beef/cheese sandwiches. Look for the sign-up sheet on March 3 and after. The Education Commission will be showing a video during both of these dinners. Please join us for a delicious meal. Call Jen Rivera at 928-358-9069 or Sherrie Nichols at 617-733-1395 with questions.
Lenten Rosaries will be available in the hallway between the church narthex and the A & E Building beginning two weeks prior to Lent. These rosaries were made and are provided free-of-charge by the Sacred Heart Rosary Makers to anyone who wants one.
The tradition of the Lenten Rosary began in Venezuela and was brought to the United States by a Minnesota priest. The rosary consists of a cross on a cord with seven sets of three beads (The Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Glory Be). You are encouraged to say the rosary every day for the 40-day Lenten period, beginning Ash Wednesday, for someone special in your life; and, after Lent, you are encouraged to give the rosary to that special person that you were praying for.
