We at Sacred Heart strive to offer whatever provides access for people to be the "best version of themselves" in spirit, as well as, mind and body. When it comes to the body, we offer the expertise and experience of fitness instructor and parishioner Linda Broome every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. in the Lower Hall. We also have Kate Wooten offering Mat Yoga in the Upper Hall on those same days from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. session is more lively and aerobic in the exercises that are done. The Stretch and Balance sessions (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) are helpful to anyone, but especially seniors who experience balance issues (that, tragically, may lead to falls) simply due to the process of aging. Please consider one (or maybe a few) of these opportunities to improve the quality (and, perhaps, the quantity) of your life. All equipment is provided, dress is comfortable and odnations are accepted in appreciation of our instructor's time and expertise. One does not need to be a Sacred Heart parishioner--all are welcome!

Do you live alone or in circumstances which tend to isolate you? If you became ill or suffered a fall, how long would it be before anyone here checked in on you? Would you like to feel safer and more secure in your own home? Would you like the opportunity to help yourself and someone else at the same time? PLEASE CONSIDER joining our BUDDY PHONE SYSTEM, a lively group of parishioners who exchange a reassuring phone call and check in with each other everyday. This is a quick, non-intrusive way to assure your well-being, knowing that if your buddy can't reach you or your emergency contacts within the appropriate time frame, your partner will take action to see if you need help. This daily peace of mind call costs nothing and the system is easy and flexible. You and your buddy decide on the calling times. You can either sign up with another parishioner who wants to partner with you OR we will pair you with a parishioner who is looking for a phone buddy. What's holding YOU back?
