May VIRTUS training sessions will be offered on Monday evening, May 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the A & E classroom. EVER WISH. . . . . You could just talk with someone about your loss? Or that there was a safe place to be with others who had suffered the loss of a loved one and just share what worked for you and what you still struggle with? There is such a place! We will begin a Grief Support Group here at Sacred Heart in the Library on Tuesday mornings, at 10:00 a.m. beginning on May 5th. There will be 6 sessions facilitated by Deacon John and each one will last approximately one and a half hours. If you know someone that is grieving and could use support, anyone, they don't have to be a parishioner, invite them to attend. The size of the group is limited so if you wish to attend, please make a reservation by calling Deacon John at 226-5506 or 226-9035.

Ladies of the Sacred Heart will be having a "Living Rosary" after the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Monday, May 11, in church. All are invited to attend. Please plan on attending their General Meeting, in the Lower Hall, immediately following the Living Rosary.

The movie night has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 7. The movie shown will be "The Way." The Way is a powerful and inspirational story about family, friends and the challenges we face while navigating this ever-changing and complicated world. Martin Sheen plays Tom, an irascible American doctor who comes to France to deal with the tragic loss of his son (played by Emilio Estevez). Rather than return home, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage "The Way of St. James" to honor his son's desire to finish the journey. What Tom doesn't plan on is the profound impact this trip will have on him. Through unexpected and oftentimes amusing experiences along "The Way," Tom discovers the difference between "the life we live and the life we choose."The movie will begin at 5:30 p.m., and popcorn will be available along with assorted refreshments. Come and enjoy an evening at the movies.
The Spring Scripture study will begin on April 8/9 for six weeks. The study will be focused on the Eucharist. The sessions will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays after mass at approximately 9:45 a.m. An evening session wil be held on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.The facilitator for Wednesday morning is Deacon Larry Lipsmeyer, Mike Kerwin for Thursday morning, and Dave Johnston will facilitate the Wednesday evening class. The cost is $15 for the study set which can be paid at the first session.

The Sacred Heart Singles are planning to tour the Culinary Institute at Pulaski Tech on Thursday, April 30. The carpool will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will follow the tour, Dutch-treat, at the Taste of Delight in Bryant. Members of St. Anthony Guild are sponsoring a women's bus trip to Nashville, Tennessee for November 19-22, 2015. We will be staying at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Activities include (but are not limited to): Delta River Flatboat at hotel, lunch and show on General Jackson Showboat, Christmas Broadway Production at Grand Ole Opry, ICE and Treasures for the holidays, and a Christmas Dinner and Show at the hotel. On Sunday, April 19, the Knights of Columbus invite everyone to their delicious Parish Breakfast. The menu will consist of biscuits and gravy with sausage and scrambled eggs, hash browns and juice, coffee or milk. We will be welcoming new parishioners who will be guests of the Knights. All proceeds are used for Knights' charitable activities.  |

The Village Fire Department will provide CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator) instruction for interested parishioners on April 13 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Upper Hall. The class size is limited to 24. The only cost ($7.50) for this class is the wallet card which certifies that the participant has taken the class.
