Beginning in the week of April 16, the parish will offer a four-week Easter Season study focused on the sacraments. Each session is part of the Symbolon video-based program on "Living the Faith." In weekly meetings lasting approximately 75 minutes, we will learn about the biblical foundation of the sacraments and the ways in which the sacraments are the means by which we can receive God's grace and develop the will to live more perfect lives. Each session will address the question "Why are the sacraments central to our lives as Catholics?"
Participants can choose to attend weekly discussion sessions or to follow the program on an independent study basis. There will be four sessions at Sacred Heart, each with its own facilitator(s): Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. (Paula Doyle), Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. (Dave Johnston and Rose Harrigan), and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. (Don Ritter).
Sign-up sheets for the discussion groups and independent study are in the narthex. The study guide for those participating in the scheduled sessions csots $9.00 - to be paid at the first meeting. Those following the program on an independent study basis should pick up an instruction sheet on the sign-up table that outlines the steps to access the FORMED website and the video sessions and study guide.
