Wednesday, October 28, at 8:30 a.m., the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a program honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe. This program honors Our Lady as the Patroness of the Americas, and also reaffirms our dedication to the sanctity of human life. This is known as the Silver Rose Program because a Silver Rose has been cast to represent one of the roses that fell from the cape of the Blessed Mother before Juan Diego, as proof to his bishop that he was seeing visions of the Blessed Mother. This Silver Rose Program starts each year in Canada and is then passed from one Knights of Columbus Council to another until it reaches Mexico on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
