On Sunday, April 19, the Knights of Columbus invite everyone to their delicious Parish Breakfast. The menu will consist of biscuits and gravy with sausage and scrambled eggs, hash browns and juice, coffee or milk. We will be welcoming new parishioners who will be guests of the Knights. All proceeds are used for Knights' charitable activities.

The Village Fire Department will provide CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator) instruction for interested parishioners on April 13 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Upper Hall. The class size is limited to 24. The only cost ($7.50) for this class is the wallet card which certifies that the participant has taken the class. There will be a VIRTUS training session on Monday, April 13, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the classroom area of the A&E Building. If you are a new volunteer minister and have not attended a previous training session, you are required to attend to meet the bishop's directive. Sacared Heart of Jesus parishioners will be praying next Saturday, March 21, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the abortion clinic in Little Rock. We will be traveling as a group to Little Rock that day. This is an opportunity for us to witness in public and help spread the 'Gospel of Life.' Our presence can make a difference in the lives of Moms, Dads, and the employees who work there. The Saint Joseph Crusade for Traditional Marriage will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at noon. We will be reciting a Rosary on the lawn in front of the church here at Sacred Heart of Jesus. Please plan to attend and pray this Rosary with us. I suggest you bring a folding chair or stool if you prefer to sit. If weather is restrictive, we will be inside the church. Karen Feckler, Julie Zimmerman, Ken Silvers, Herm Dobshca, Connie Weidert and Bill Lamoureux are performing in this fun musical comedy live on stage at the Woodlands Auditorium on April 10 and 11 at 7:00 p.m. and April 12th at 2:00 p.m. In addition, our own Lynne Border is the musical/vocal director for this production. In private revelation to St. Maria Faustina, Jesus asked that the Feast of Divine Mercy be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. He told her" "On that day, all the Divine floodgates, through which graces flow, are opened. The soul who will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment." Jesus also revealed that He wanted a Novena to the Divine Mercy to be made before the Feast of Divine Mercy.

The Knights of Columbus, Council 10208, will sponsor a movie at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, in the Lower Hall. The movie is Seven Days In Utopia, starring Robert Duval. Talent can only get you so far. For golfer, Luke Chisholm, that turns out to be Utopia, Texas, where he's left stranded after blowing his pro debut. Luckily for Luke, a cagey old rancher enters his life to change it - and him - forever. The donation refreshment center will be open, and there will also be popcorn.

This weekend the Knights of Columbus will be selling tickets for the Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, March 13. Menu includes fried cod fish, baked potato, cole slaw, roll and dessert. Tickets are $10 each. Seating and tickets are again limited. The time for the fish fry will be from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Dining will be ANYTIME during these hours.
After this weekend, if any tickets remain, the only opportunity to purchase tickets will be by calling Scott Krantz at 501-781-6493. The last day to get a ticket is March 11. There will be no tickets available at the door. And, please, no walk-ins without a ticket as we only order enough food for the number of tickets sold.
