The April meeting for the Sacred Heart Men's Club will be on Tuesday, April 12, at 5:00 p.m. in the Lower Hall of the Church. All men of the parish are welcome to attend. At 5:00 p.m., you may join others in the Upper Hall to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for family, Church, our nation, world peace, and your personal intentions. Social gathering in the Lower Hall is from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. Dinner will be served before 6:00 p.m. Dinner will be Monterey Chicken, Rice Pilaf, Corn-on-the-Cob, butter and roll, AND cobbler for dessert prepared by the staff of Home Plate. Seating will be 6 to a table. The refreshment center will be open for additional libations. The cost of the dinner is $15.00 per person.Program will feature Mark Hittner, Retired NFL Referee, who has worked multiple Super Bowls over his career. The Pastoral's Council's next meeting is April 22nd at 9:30 a.m. Since the weekend before the meeting is Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday, we will not have representatives in the Narhex before and after Masses that weekend as we usually do. In private revelation of St. Maria Faustina, Jesus asked that a Feast of the Divine Mercy be celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter. He told her: "On that day, all the divine flood gates through which graces flow are opened. The soul who will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment." The nine day Divine Mercy Novena culminates with Divine Mercy Sunday, this Sunday, April 24th with our special Holy Hour from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Fr. Bill will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Divine Mercy Sunday from 2:00 to 2:55 p.m. before our Divine Mercy Holy Hour. If you went to Reconciliation at our Communal Reconciliation Service (April 5th), or, received it in the week or so before, or, receive it after Divine Mercy, you will receive the Divine Mercy indulgence. 
The Sacred Heart of Jesus (SHJ) Grief Support Group is for anyone who has faced huge challenges in their lives. If you have experienced events in your life that have shaken your ground, such as the death of a loved one, serious illness, divorce or whatever has made you see life differently, the SHJ Bereavement Ministry's Grief Support Group is a safe space where we can all grow and learn together. In the four Wednesday's that we will meet (March 9 thru March 30th from 9:30-11:00 a.m.) in the church library (next to the chapel in the Narthex) we will assist you in helping claim your life back, increase happiness and be inspired to become the person you were born to be. In the interest of accommodating more people who may want to participate in the Raffle Only, we will now be selling tickets to those who cannot attend the Wine & Cheese Event by using the "BUDDY" system. If you have a friend that is attending the WIne & Cheese Event you can give your raffle stub to that person to collect your prize if you win. If you do not have someone to be your "Buddy," so to speak, we will assign a person to be in charge of your stubs and collect your prize or you. Hopefully those of you who have felt left out of the Raffle because you are not available to attend this Event will now feel included and purchase your Raffle tickets. When one hears the word EXERCISE, normally the word CHAIR is not used except in reference to what someone looks forward to using after exercise is done. Surprisingly, those two words are not mutually exclusive as many benefits await those who exercise in a chair or with a chair to hold onto while exercising. A seated chair exercise routine is a great way to get the benefit of muscle strength training (which people of all ages need) without risk of falling or losing one's balance. Linda Broome, our very experienced and pleasant exercise leader, coach and fellow parishioner is ready to help you in a group setting ( in our "no judgement" lower hall zone) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00-11:00 am or 11:30am-12:30 pm. At those times exercises can be done sitting and/or standing. Stretch and balance sessions in or using a chair are held on those same days from 1:00-2:00 pm. Most of those who have come to the afternoon chair sessions (who range in age from 65-94 years old) will testify to great improvement in their strength, flexibility, coordination, balance and stamina (and no doubt a more hopefilled disposition about their overall health and well being). A renewal program entitled Death, Where Is Your Sting? will begin on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Conducted by Fr. George Knab, O.M.I. from Belleville, Illinois. It includes evening services at 6:00 p.m. that last not much more than an hour. The services include preaching, prayer, song and ritual that open human hearts to the workings of the Holy Spirit. Fr. George will also celebrate morning Mass at 9:00 a.m. and give a brief informal talk afterwards. Complete schedule will be in next Sunday's bulletin and on the www.HSVSacredHeart.com website. 
KofC Council 10208 General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1 in the Lower Hall. Praying the Rosary will start at 5:00 p.m. The meal consisting of beef brisket, mashed potatoes, gravy and a veggie will be served around 5:45 p.m. The cost of the meal is $10. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 is the day for our parish members to walk outside the Planned Parenthood office in Little Rock. This is the annual 40 Days For Life event. For one hour you stand on the sidewalk in front of the clinic and hold a pro life sign. This can be a wonderful Lenten practice.
