7 month fetusYour baby will continue to mature and develop reserves of body fat.  Your baby's hearing is fully developed.  He or she changes positions frequently and responds to stimuli, including sound, pain, and light.  The amniotic fluid begins to diminish.  At the end of the seventh month, your baby is about 14 inches long and weighs from 2 to 4 pounds.  If born prematurely, your baby would be likely to survive after the seventh month.
Pastoral Search CommitteeThe Pastoral Council of any Catholic parish is made up of parishioners who are practicing their Catholic Faith and are open to being elected or appointed to serve a two or three year term to consult the pastor on important matters that have to do with the mission of the parish.  Meetings are held every other month and agendas come to the members in advance of the meetings.  Members are encouraged to serve on one of the parish commissions; Liturgy, Education, Social Justice and Charitable Outreach, and Parish Life, all of which help carry out particular ministries as a help to the pastor.  Whether you have been a parishioner a short time or quite a while, we are looking for a little of your time to help this parish and become all that the Lord wants of us in our baptismal calling.  It is a great way to meet and get to know fellow parishioners and the pastor (now Fr. Bill) and appreciate the workings of a parish in Mass and outside Mass as well.  Elections will take place in November, so PLEASE, pray about it and act soon by calling Chris Cash at 922-1933 or Fr. Bill at 209-2502 to express an interest and/or get more information.

Yoga ChairYoga stretchSacred Heart of Jesus offers balance, strength training and light to moderate aerobic activity classes.  This is our "Fit 'n Balance" classes offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the the Lower Hall.  We also offer Chair Stretch & Balance and Mat Yoga on those same days at 1:00 p.m.  Chair Stretch & Balance is in the Lower Hall and Mat Yoga is in the Upper Hall.  Having good balance is an important way to prevent falls, but there are many benefits to regular exercise, especially as we age.  Physical activity along with a healthy diet are two of the most important lifestyle factors that determine whether or not we age gracefully.  Finding an exercise program that is fun and engaging is essential if we want to create a lasting habit.  Senior citizens should choose an exercise program that they can continue to do over the course of time as their bodies change.  If you need more information, please email Linda Broome This email address is being protected from spambots. AngelThe Angel Tree gifts have been sorted by family and child, inventoried and placed in the appropriate boxes in the Upper Hall.  Non-perishables from Project Hope Food Bank have been brought to the Upper Hall by volunteers, packaged according to the size of the family and placed in the boxes for delivery.  The next step in the process is for the volunteers who have been contacted to shop for perishables, pick up the gift boxes and boxes of non-perishables designated for their family.  We encourage the volunteers to contact their families before December 17th, which is the last day of school before Christmas break.  If the families cannot be reached through information provided on the family record form, the guidance counselors at the schools are our only source of additional information.  If there are any questions, please contact Claudia or Ed Keearns at 501-922-3832 or 501-922-8968.
