Our Sociable Six program will return for the months of June, July and August 2025. This program is very simple and flexible. Three couple will be grouped together and then arrange among themselves to share a brunch, lunch or dinner at alternate homes once a month. Participants will enjoy getting to know their fellow parishioners better in an informal setting. It is a great way for newcomers to get acquainted with the member of their parish family. To sign up call Nancy or Howard Emory at 815 861-0820 or email emeryfam@hotmail.com. Please provide your name, address, phone number and email. Final sign up date for this session is May 28. You will receive a letter/email with the three couples in your group the first week of June.
The Knights of Columbus would like to invite everyone to a Parish Breakfast on Sunday, May 18 after both Masses. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, biscuits & gravy juice, coffee and water. The cost of the breakfast is a good will offering. CASH AND CHECKS will be accepted. There will be sign-up sheets in the Narthex for planning purposes. All breakfast proceeds are used to help fund K of C charitable activities throughout the year. Your support is greatly appreciated!
The many prayers, spiritual bouquets, well wishing cards and personal visits by parishioners were received with heartfelt gratitude and the deepest appreciation by Tom and Evelyn Donnelly throughout the past several weeks of health distress and medical interventions. The outpouring of our parish-ioner's caring, concern, prayers. friendship and charity exemplified the highest ideals and the loving spiritual core of our parish. A special thank you goes to Tom's brother Knights and to Fr. Elser for his daily visits and administering communion at the Little Rock hospital, local rehab center and our home.

Holy Spirit, once again You have spoken.
Through the voices of human beings
You have chosen Pope Leo XIV to guide us.
We pray that You will guide him.
Help him in his service to You, the Church and the world.
Help him offer a beacon of love
To those searching for hope
Amidst the chaos of our changing planet.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen

Could spiritual direction be a part of your Eastertide Season?

The Lenten season was meant to move us more deeply into conversion and revive our spirits for the Easter season and the rest of our lives. We moved through the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord and now we are called to a mission. Remem-bering all our Lord did for us out of love, we ask Him what He would have us do for Him--how best to know, love and serve Him and others. This can be an excellent time to meet with a spiritual director to prayerfully ponder these questions and seek God's plan for you now.

Our certified Spiritual Director, Cherry Schwulst, has availability for a few new directees. If you feel God moving you to take that step, contact her at cherryjoschwulst@gmail.com or 309 831-7230. Cherry's website is www.cherryonline.org
