The Sacred Heart Rosary Makers need your help for this very worthy ministry. We send rosaries, free of charge, around the world to any place that requests them including churches, hospitals, schools and convents. Each week that we meet we recite this prayer:
Dearest Mother
To you we pray,
Bless the rosaries we make today.
With loving hands we add each bead,
Then with trust in you we further plead.
Bless the ones in foreign lands,
Reach for them with outstretched hands,
And pray like we call for a world united
And peace for all.
Please join us after Mass on Thursday mornings. For more information, please call Marge Newburn at 501-922-9047.

This coming Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (May 31, June 1 & 2) at 9:45 we will have our Parish Life, Education and Liturgy Commission meetings in Classrooms A & B. At these meetings, we discuss ministries and activities that fall under these commissions and make plans for the future in these areas. All parishioners are welcome to attend one or all of the meetings and see what is "going on." We also encourage all pariohsioners to look up and read the meeting minutes at www.hsvsacredheart.com and stay informed! This is your parish and being more knowledgeable may be of help to you and others who you can inform on your own about the many blessings of this parish for those who are active in Mass and in other ways out of love for the Lord!!
"In our self-centered culture and classic American emphasis on work, we often feel we have to accomplish something during our time before the Blessed Sacrament. We rate our experience by how "good" our prayer was, how heartfelt our devotion...how focused we remain. yet prayer and contemplation are fundamentally God's work, in which we are invited to participate. We need only to give Him the opening and He will do the rest. By coming in adoration, we are handing HIm the keys to our hears, allowng the rays of His love and grace to bathe our souls in the light of His presence, as the rays of the sun bathe our bodies in light. If we take the time to pull away frm the busyness and distractions of life and just sit at His feet, he will lead us." O my God,
I am sorry and repent with all my heart
for all the wrong I have done and for the good I have
failed to do, because by sinning I have offfended you,
who are all good and worthy to be loved above all
things.
I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid the occasions
of sin.
Through the erits of the Passion of our
Savior Jesus Christ, Lord have mercy.

We need your help making rosaries that are shipped to third world countries. This is the only mission in Sacred Heart of Jesus that extends outside the United States borders. Since COVID, our dedicated rosary maker group has shrunk considerably. Making the rosaries is easy to learn but it does take some practice. We meet weekly on Thursday mornings after Mass. It is not necessary to come every week once you have learned how to make them. Please consider this very worthy mission as your next summer project. Men are welcome too. Please call Marge Newburn at 501-922-9047 for imformation.
The Family Assistance Committee of the parish Social Justice and Charitable Outreach Commission for 8 years has been assisting less fortunate families in teh area in times of emergency. Funds from the parish have been allocated and are just one avenue of support. We direct families to agencies that provide services that support them in their needs. Members of this committee meet on a monthly basis to review active cases that are still being addressed. Potential clients are interviewed by 2 team members who help assess what the person or family might need short term and, when necessary, long term to attain a more stable and even self-sufficient situation. If you would like to know more of the responsibilities of committee members and/or to volunteer for this committee, call Tom Ament at 501-922-0641 or Marvin Young at 501-915-8028. We really need to add members to this important and fulfilling miinistry.
