The Shrine of Divine Mercy, located at St Edward Church, 801 Sherman St in Little Rock, has been implemented to serve as a place of pilgrimage, adoration and reconciliation. Bishop Taylor encourages everyone to come to the shrine, spend time there praying for the intention of the Holy Father, go to confession and receive the Eucharist during Mass and, in return, you will receive spiritual blessings. The Knights of Columbus cordially invites all parishioners to join in celebration of our nation and heritage on Tuesday, July 4. This event follows the patriotic rosary (10:30 a.m.) and Mass (11:15 a.m.) and will be held in the Lower Hall (starting around 12:00 p.m.). The June 24 Assembly 2316 4th Degree Installation will be held following the 5:00 p.m. Mass to install the Officers for the 2023-24 Fraternal year. This weekend, June 17/18, our diocese will take up for this collection. Guiding and strengthening young people's faith involves helping them fully live through prayer, fellowship and service. This project, supported by funding from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop's Church in Latin America program, has brought together 400 youth leaders for sessions on the Bible, Church history, teachings from opoe Francis and Vatican II, Christmas for impoverished youth and prison visits. When we support the Collection for the Church in Latin America, we make our Ctholic faith a living reality for youth in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The 2023 Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Taste of Faith Dinner is scheduled for the evening of Friday, July 28. Proceeds and donations from this gala event support the Seminarians in our Diocese. Bishop Tay, Fr Jeff Hebert and several Seminarians will join us. Mark this event on your calendar now-- you don't want to miss it!
The Diocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy will be dedicated Sunday, June 11, by Bishop Anthony Taylor following the 12:30 Mass at the Cathedral of St Andrew in downtown Little Rock. The participants then walk from the Cathedral to St Edward Church (about 1 mile) where the bishop will preside over blessing the new image of the Divine Mercy and lead the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. He will then sign the decree creating the Diocesan Shrine. Benediction will conclude the event. Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone is invited to attend. Thereafter, the church and the Divine Mercy Shrine will be open.
Due to the heat of the summer, beginning May 31, we will discontinue the 5:00 p.m. Wednesday Mass until September. Mass on Wednesdays will be at 9:00 a.m. We will also discontinue the 9:00 a.m. Monday Mass (unless otherwise announced) so that Fr Bill can have his "day off" as all priests are encouraged to do! Note: we are having Mass this Monday at 9:00 a.m. (after the Patriotic Rosary at 8:15 a.m.) in celebration of Memorial Day.
Bryce Raney, (Novice with the Capuchin Franciscan Order) is very appreciative of your prayers during his Novitiate year. He will be relocating back to Denver in July and taking his Simple Vows on July 29.
