We are blessed once again to have Chef Johnna Westerman prepare and serve, on site, a delicious Christmas meal in our Lower Hall on December 25 at 12:30 p.m. with the following dishes:
Garden salad with mandarin oranges, dried cranberries & pecans with champagne vinaigrette, dried fruit stuffed pork loin with cider au jus, parmesan & chive scalloped potatoes, roasted asparagus and rolls with butter. Dessert will be Christmas cookies with Fr Bill's ice cream. This meal is open to parishioners, their families and others in the community who would like a great meanl and fellowship on Christmas Day. There are many ways to help out your parish! If you are interested in being a Eucharistic Minister, Altar Server, Usher, helping out with the Funeral Ministry, Sacristan, singing in the choir or bringing up the gifts, please consider helping out your parish by signing up, there are books in the Narthex or refer to page 4 of our bulleting for contact information, to do one or more of these ministries!!
Men's Club members will be available at the Lower Hall entrance area 1-3:00 p.m. December 9 & 10 to assist in loading the Christmas Food Basket items and presents into your vehicle. Otherwise, pick up any time after Monday, December 11. Please leave large empty boxes at church for next year.
Our parish reconciliation service with the opportunity for individual reception of the Sacrament will be this Thursday, December 14 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Church. We will have a least 8 priests who will be present to reconcile us to God and the community of believers as we prepare the way for the Lord in our hearts for Christmas and the Christmas season.

The LOSH Christmas Bake Sale will be held this weekend beginning Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. WE will also be selling our goodies before and after all Masses until sold out. Please stop by the classrooms to purchase and thank you very much for supporting our fundraising endeavors.

The parish Mass of Remembrance for family & friends of our parishioners, as well as, parishioners who died in 2023, will be celebrated Wednesday, December 20 at 4:00 p.m. You are invited to bring a framed picture of your loved one(s) and/or put their name(s) in a binder that will be on a table in the front of the church. Come early to place your loved one's picture on the table and light a small candle that will be in front of the picture. ALL PARISHIONERS are invited to participate in this Mass.

The December meeting for the Sacred Heart Men's Club will be on Tuesday, December 12 at 5:00 p.m. in the Lower Hall. Members wives or invited guests are welcome to attend. Dues remain $15 and new name badges are available for $10. The Divine Mercy Chaplet will take place at 5:00 p.m. in the Lower Hall followed by social time. The Refreshment Center will open upon the Chaplet's completion. The 6:00 p.m. dinner, by Chef Johnna, is Beef Bourguignon, smashed potatoes, roasted asparagus w/lemon butter, steamed broccoli, salad w/champaign vinaigrette, rolls and for dessert Red Velvet Cake w/chocolate mousse and Chantilly mint cream parfait. The meal cost is $20. The program for the night will be guest speaker Kathy Sanders who will share her Oklahoma experience, and our famous chorus of the "Twelve Days of Christmas." How do you "show up" at Mass? Ponder your appreciation, reverence, openness to grace vulnerability and attentiveness. Each of us has work to do to fully participate! Bring your whole self, fully committed and participating. Place your whole life on the altar as Christ gave his whole self for us.

This Friday, December 8, the Catholic Church celebrates the Solemnity of Mary's Immaculate Conception and its significance in God's plan of sa.vation for the world. As it is a Holy Day of Obligation (we must participate in Mass under the consequence of mortal sin if we don't). Masses will be Thursday, December 7 at 4:00 p.m. and Friday December 8 at 9:00 a.m.
