Project RachelHope and Healing, a 12-week online Bible study just for women who have been wounded by abortion, will begin in April.  This new opportunity offered through Project Rachel Ministry will explore the impact of past abortion decisions on our lives and discover what we need to do to heal from these traumatic experiences.

On this journey of self-discovery and empowerment we will meet 12 amazing women who, just like us, are wives, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends.  We will learn together how these women faced the same struggles and challenges that we face and through their example gain insight into what we can do to make changes in our own lives so that we can move forward from lingering grief, shame, guilt, fear and pain to acceptance, forgiveness, trust, peace, love and joy.  Any woman, anywhere, can participate from the comfort of her own space, either anonymously or with a virtual group of soon-to-be friends.  Call or text our CONFIDENTIAL direct phone line 501-663-0996 for more information.  Registration is required by March 29.
formed logo semiboldOn Thursday, March 25 starting at 6:00 p.m. our parish will have an additional opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  We can start to prepare for this evening by accessing some of the entries of www.FORMED.org,  dealing with forgiveness of our sins.  "FORGIVEN: The Transforming Power of Confessions" is a study that explores the grace and healing offered in confession and shows how this sacrament of mercy reveals the depth and mercy of God's love.  There are nine, approximatedly 30 minute episodes that you an watch and listen to at your convenience.  In "The Sacrament of Penance" Father William Casey speaks on reconciliation in an audio lasting about an hour.  "Confession" is a popular talk, lasting less than an hour, given by Fr. Larry Richards, that provides listerers with hope to strive for a closer, healing relationship ith Jesus Christ.
Samaritan Ministries LogoSamaritan Ministries, the Homeless Shelter for Men in Hot Springs has a Woodworkers Store where handcrafted items are made by men in the workshop on site.  You are invited to visit the store as they have beautiful crosses for Lent.  The Shelter has been in existence for 13 years: 131 Sanford Street, Hot Springs.  Monetary donations are accepted by mail or on the website:  www.samaritanhs.org.  Contributions go directly to provide men with a shower, meals and a comfortable bed.  As a Christian homeless shelter, the men that come are offered a program for turning their lives around through the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Rice BowlAs we enter Holy Week and celebrate Palm Sunday, let's reflect on how our Lord suffered from our indifference: those who proclaimed him king of Jerusalem were the same who called to crucify him.  We recognize we are all one human family.  Are we contributing to the suffering of our sisters and brothers with our indifference to their realities?  How does our faith inspire us to care for them and share the gifts that God has bestowed on us?  Visit www.crsricebowl.org to learn more.

LentThere are a number of on-line, daily reflections that can come to your email address each day of the upcoming Lenten Season.  Dynamic Catholic has reflections on prayer from Matthew Kelly which come from his book "I Heard God Laugh" which was offered as a gift to our parishioners at Christmas.  Go to www.BestLentEver.com to sign up.  Another option is from the Augustine Institute by scripture scholar, Dr. Tim Gray, using the readings from daily Mass during Lent.  Sign up for this one at www.FORMED.ORG/Lent.  Either or both can help make your Lenten Season a time of growth in the Lord!
MassBishop Taylor has granted permission due to COVID for a priest to schedule more than one weekday Mass to spread out and keep safe those who are coming to Mass.  Fr. Bill will begin offering a second weekday Mass on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. starting January 27 and 28, 2021.  Weekday Masses are generally 20 to 25 minutes in length and have no singing.  Fr. Bill hopes these Masses though open to all, will attract those who have not received Holy Communion in a long time.  Attendance over a month's time will determine whether these Masses stay on the schedule or not.  Funeral Masses may be scheduled at these time and if so, notice of that reality will be communicated by a robo call from Fr. Bill.
