Rosary2The Rosary Ministry of Sacred Heart is the only ministry of the church that extends beyond the borders of the United States.  COVID has presented us with some shipping challenges as some countries would not accept packages from the United States.  This made us think outside the box.  Instead of shipping directly to those countries, we began shipping to other places, in the the United States, that would containerize them and ship to the countries that were accepting donations.

In the past year, our rosaries went to Ghana, Africa, Nigeria, Mexico and most recently to India for Fr. Ravi.  The rosaries are received with outstretched hands and letters of thanks come back to us on a regular basis.  To date, we have shipped over 124,000 rosaries around the world.  The Blessed Mother is using our hands as a way to spread the word of her beloved son to people and places in the world that would otherwise not have a way to pray the rosary.  Thank you to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church for supporting this wonderful ministry.  If you would like to participate in this ministry, please call Marge Newburn at 501-922-9047.

Church in Cengtral and Eastern Europe CCEEThe Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe (CCEE) is this weekend.  The countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union endured decades of communist oppression.  Also emerging from the years of communist rule is the Church, which suffered grave wounds to its spiritual life and its ability to serve.  Now it is vigorously involved in rebuilding the faith of its people.  Proceeds from this collection, sponsored by the bishops of the United States, are used for things such as supporting religioius education programs, training seminarians, expanding social ministries, and rebuilding churches, convents and schools.  You can learn more by visiting www.usccb.org.
