This year we are providing a wider variety of Christmas Masses (including a parking lot Mass) for Christmas Eve (see above). The hope is that parishioners will spread out so that there won't be "too many" at any one Mass. Since the first Church Mass on Christmas eve (4:30 pm) is traditionally our most crowded Mass of the whole year, a decision has been made to ask those who want to come to that Mass to make a reservation either by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or if you don't have email by calling the church office 922-2062, ext. 10, 12 or 17 and give us your name and phone number and how many from your family are coming to that Mass. If the number happens to get too high to safely (given COVID) fit those who want to come to that Mass, we will handle admittance based on whose reservations came in before we reached capacity and will contact those who sent in their reservations after we filled up so that they can choose one of the other Christmas Masses (Christmas Eve 6:30 pm, Christmas Day 8 and 10 am) to attend and participate. Please indicate when you make a reservation if you are open to attending the 4:30 pm Mass if necessary in the Lower Hall (where the Mass will be livestreamed and Communion brought down to those who are there) or just the Church.
All Souls' Day Masses at Sacred Heart Church will be as follows:
Please join us at one of these Masses as we lift up to the Lord our deceased loved ones on this special day. Also, remember to submit your envelopes with the names of your deceased loved ones at the churh or in the mail before November 2, 2020. Any money you choose to give will go toward the "One Church" recipient this year 'St. Bartholomews Church' in Little Rock as they seek to get enough support to construct a parish hall.
9:00 a.m. | In Church |
10:00 a.m. | In front of Columbarium Garden (remain in your car or bring a chair) |
11:00 a.m. | At CedarVale Cemetery (bring a chair) |

Some facts about the parking lot Mass which is now celebrated every Saturday, 2:30 p.m. and fulfills your Sunday Obligation:
- It is a way to attend and participate in Mass AND receive Holy Communion without leaving your car (or if you wish you can bring a chair and sit at a safe distance from others without wearing a mask).
- If you stay in your car, you can hear and hopefully see the Mass no matter where you are in the parking lot. Just leave your ignition on and tune to FM 88.1 (you don't have to have your car running and a good battery WILL NOT be affected).
- You can park in a way that is comfortable for you to get your car in and out. Parking attendants will help.
- When Fr. Bill or the E.M. comes to your window for Holy Communion, put your cupped hands close to the window or just outside the window.
- Bulletins are passed out as you enter the parking lot and attendants will accept your stewardship offering in a large basket.
- If you think you will need to run your motor for a/c or heat, please locate to one of the back parking spaces. The parking attendants will try to keep the rows of cars spaced out for safety reasons.

Knights of Columbus Council 10208 is conducting our annual baby bottle Campaign. Baby bottles can be returned to the Church at any time and placed in the baby crib in the Narthex on or before November 8. In addition, you can return baby bottles at the parking lot Mass. If you did not pick up a baby bottle, there are additional empty bottles in the baby crib. The goal this year is to continue to fund the use of the ultrasound machine at the New Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center in Benton, provide financial support to Change Point Pregnancy Center in Hot Springs, provide financial support to Arkansas Pregnancy Resource Center in Little Rock, and provide financial support to Arkansas Right to Life Organization in Little Rock.
Ultrasound machines are saving lives of babies where they are used and the other organizations continue to provide support to women in crisis. What a great feeling it is when you know that you have helped save a life! Please take a Baby bottle as you leave one of the Masses and return it with your generous donation to the Baby Playpen in the Narthex on or before November 8. Please open your heart and be generous for these beautiful unborn children of God. Thank you!

Given the realities of COVID-19, we know that it is not practical for us to offer the traditional Thanksgiving Day Parish Dinner and open it up to the entire parish. Following CDC protocols and that of our Bishop, means that we can seat and serve only a limited number of people. At this time we want to gauge how many widows and widowers of our parish would come if we offered a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day in the afternoon.
If you are in this demographic and would come, please call the church office 501-922-2062, extension 10 and leave a message with your name, phone number and intention to come or sign up in the Narthex by November 15. We will follow up in some way and let you know if we will have the dinner. So far our Knights of Columbus, LOSH and Men's Club have graciously indicated their willingness to pitch in and make this gathering a reality.
