40 Days For Life is again going to pray outside the Planned Parenthood in Little Rock, located at 1501 Aldersgate Road. Planned Parenthood is open six days per week to offer the abortion pill and now at least half of all abortions are done this way.
The prayer event will go from February 17 (Ash Wednesday) until March 28 (Palm Sunday), from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm each day. You should sign up before you go at www.40daysforlife.com/littlerock. You will be added to the schedule when they know your chosen date and time. Typically, you sign up for one hour. If you don't have a pro life sign, let me know and I will get one for you. The location is easy to find and is in west Little Rock. Since many people will have had their Covid vaccine, it opens up the opportunity to pair up with someone to ride over and to stand together.
Please call or text me, Rebecca Huber, at 501-844-7656 if you have any questions.

The Ladies of Sacred Heart (LOSH) will hold their next general meeting on April 12, 2021, in the Lower Hall, immediately following the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Mask and social distancing will be required. Our speaker will be Jim Perry, Director of Faith Fellowship Church Food Pantry. What to bring (besides your smile)?
* Your appetite! Hooray!! - While COVID precautions of wearing masks and social distancing are still being observed, Guild 7 WILL serve snacks!
* Cash! We will be selling raffle tickets ($1 each or 6 for $5) for two baskets of goodies. These two will be even 'bigger and better' (more booty!) than in previous months, as they are the last of the baskets left before the really big ones in the Wine and Cheese Raffle. And of course of course, we'll pass the Blessing Basket. (Did you know that we forward 1/3 of that income each month to Village Outreach)?
* Cash or checkbook for your Wine and Cheese Ticket ($10/pp, and raffle tickets - $10 each, or 3 for $25; preference for raffle tickets will be given to those purchasing Wine and Cheese Tasting tickets, until all Wine and Cheese tickets are sold).
We hope to see you there!

Some facts about the parking lot Mass which is now celebrated every Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and fulfills your Sunday Obligation:
It takes a number of parishioners to put this together so that you can feel safe coming to attend Mass and receive Holy Communion. We are in need of a few more parishioners to help with the parking lot Mass. There are several positions needed: setting up the altar, bulletin ladies, parking attendants, lectors, and EM's. If you would be willing to help out with any of these positions, please contact Marian LaVelle at 922-2062, extension 10 or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. - It is a way to attend and participate in Mass AND receive Holy Communion without leaving your car.
- If you stay in your car, you can hear and hopefully see the Mass no matter when you are in the parking lot. Just leave your ignition on and tune to FM 88.1.
- You can park in a way that is comfortable for you to get your car in and out. Parking attendants will help.
- When Fr. Bill or the E.M. comes to your window for Holy Communion, put your cupped hands close to the window or just outside the window.
- Bulletins are passed out as you enter the parking lot and attendants will accept your stewardship offering in a large basket.

Pope Francis has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land. Your support helps the church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools and offer religious education. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection also helps to preserve the sacred shrines.
The wars, unrest and instability have been expecially hard on Christians. In these time of crisis, the Pontifical Good Friday Collection provides humanitarian aid to refugees. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace and join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. For more information about Christians in the Holy Land, visit www.myfranciscan.org/good-Friday.

THANK YOU!! The annual Parish Baby Shower was an outstanding success for 2021. Even with the challenges our world is facing in these unusual times, our three chosen charities, Catholic Charities Adoption Agency in Little Rock, Changepoint in Hot Springs and New Beginnings in Benton each received a pretty full carload of clothing, diapers, wipes, blankets, toy, etc delivered by Rebecca Huber, Barb Potter and Linda Durrett. Once it was all counted, each charity also received a generous and much needed cash donation of $415.00. Of course this cold not have been accomplished without all of YOU extremely generous parishioners as well as the team of volunteers who made it happen. Thank you all for the many blessings you shared with those in need.

As most of you know by now, SHJ offers FIT 'N BALANCED classes every Tuesday and Thursday in the Lower Hall. Scheduled times are: 10:00-11:00 a.m; 11:30-12:30 p.m; and 1:00-2:00 p.m. Every Wednesday we now offer two additional classes. YOGA/STRETCH from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and the widely popular CHAIR YOGA from 2:30-3:30 p.m. You may ask yourself, can I do YOGA? The answer is "YES YOU CAN!" CHAIR YOGA is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits by using a chair. Staying seated means that even frail seniors or those who are not as flexile can safely do the exercises. Yoga is an excellent way for older adults to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, and improve circulation and concentration. The YOGA/STRETCH class is basically the same with the exception that ALL poses are performed on a Yoga Mat. This is an advanced class. If you have never taken a Yoga Class do not be afraid. It is a wonderful way to improve your posture, your flexibility, your mind, your body and spirit. Plus, it will put a SMILE on your face.
