The Balboa Baptist Church, Barcelona Road Baptist Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and Village Bible Church will all be co-sponsoring and participating in the Crosses for Life Memorial in the Village this year during the month of September.  This state-wide outreach project was orginally started by Benton County Right To Life and is now managed by Arkansas Right To Life.  The crosses represent some of the 2000 plus pre-born children that die daily in the United States of America due to abortion.  The displays at each of the churches are to memorialize those children that were aborted and increase public awareness of the devastating effects of abortions.  As you drive by the churches and see the crosses, please say a prayer for the end of abortion in the United States.  Saint Mother Teresa was a champion of life and was quoted saying the following: "And if we can accept that a mother can kill her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another."

Crosses will be erected at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, September 2 beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Please contact Bob Bowman (922-6619) to volunteer to help put up crosses.  The crosses will be displayed for the complete month of September.
