It's the first of the year again, the time when everyone is looking for that New Year's resolution to improve their health! You might want ot consider our free exercise classes we offer right here at Sacred Heart. Linda Broome holds Fit 'n Balance Classes every Tuesday and Thursday. The classes address endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. We now have available slots open from 10:00-11:00; 11:30-12:30 and 1:00-2:00. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the maximum amount of people that can attend is 28 per class. We are taking every precaution to ensure that when attending the classes, everyone is in a safe environment.
In addition to the Fit 'n Blanace Classes, Linda is alo offering two additional classes on Wednesdays. Yoga/Stretch from 1 pm - 2 pm and the widely popular Chair Yoga from 2:30 - 3:30 pm. You may ask yourself, can I do YOGA? The answer is "YES YOU CAN!" What is the difference between the two classes? Well, it is pretty straightforward, Chair yoga is a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits by using a chair. Staying seated means that even frail seniors or those who are not as flexible can safely do the exercises. Yoga is an excellent way for older adults to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, and improve circulation and concentration. The YOGA/STRETCH class is basically the same with the exception that ALL poses are performed on a Yoga Mat. This is an advanced class.
If you are interested in attending, please either email or call me. Come and see what it is all about. Everything we do in the classes can be modified to suit your personal needs. Looking forward to seeing your very soon.
