Auction ItemsThe Ladies of the Sacred Heart will hold their annual Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show on Monday, October 16, 2017. We are in need of items for our Chance Raffle and door prizes. The Chance Raffle is replacing the silent auction that has been done in the past. A Chance Raffle is 10-20 new or very slightly used nice items with a value of $20-$50 (suggested value).  A description and value is listed by each item along with a jar for your ticket stubs.  Tickets sell 6 for $5.00.  You receive both ticket stubs, and you place one half of your ticket in the jar of the item you wish to bid on.  At the end of the Fashion Show, a ticket will be pulled from each jar and the winner announced.  No one has to continually check bid sheets or cash out before leaving and everyone has a "chance" to win that item.  We would also apreciate other items that can be used for door prizes.  If you have items to donate, please contact Barb Potter at 226-3246.  If you have questions, call Karen Feckler, Fashion Show Chair, at 209-1499.

There will be a silent Auction - all benefiting Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.  Join us Saturday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the lower hall of the church. Seven Secrets of the EucharistBeginning with the week of September 25, there will be a seven-week study focused on the Eucharist. Participants will read and discuss Vinny Flynn's 7 Secrets of the Eucharist, a program designed to deepen our understanding of the importance of the Eucharist in our faith and in the conduct of our lives as disciples of Christ.

Participants can choose to attend weekly hour-long discussion sessions or to follow the program on an independent study basis.  There will be three sessions at Sacred Heart, each with its own facilitator:

Wednesdays at 9:45 a.m. with Tom Canavan
Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. with Dave Johnston
Thursday at 9:45 a.m. with Paula Doyle

In the week of Novmber 5, there will be no meetings of the study groups; instead, participants will be encouraged to attend the parish mission, which will be devoted to the Eucharist.
