Jos_Guillermo_Caballero_AndradeDear Parishioners,

It's been a while since the last time I wrote to you.  Christmas Holiday with family and friends was most enjoyable.  New Year's Feast in Columbia, particularly where I am from, is highly celebrated and I was glad to have had the opportunity to be there.

Back in the USA, I had a chance to go to the March for Life in Washington, DC.  It is amazing to see our Catholic support for life.  The march is always a good testimony for both Christians and non-Christians.

I would like to share with you a personal reflection I have on gratitude to God and how grateful we should always be for our blessings great and small.  As we experience disappointments in life, we must find strength in our faith to grow in our spiritual life as we reflect on our harmony with God and his grace.  We must be grateful for our time and talent He has blessed us with enabling us to share his love with others who may also be experiencing difficulty.  Some blessings may appear small but they are in God's plan for me and I am grateful for his guidance in my life.

Science and technology don't help us at all times.  I love nature and find added strength and solace in a long walk thanking God for his gift of creation.  In the midst of difficulty, God is always with us and I am thankful and grateful for his everlasting love.

I will be graduating on May 11th.  I will be getting a Master of Arts' Degree in Catholic Philosophical Studies.  Please keep me and my brothers in formation in your prayers.

Let us thank God for his gift of life.

Sincerely,

Guillermo Caballero
